- Request for access to personal data (Moldova)For anyone who wants to see the personal data a company, employer, landlord, hospital or public body in Moldova holds about them. The request, under Law no. 195/2024 on personal data protection, in force since 23 August 2026, asks for a copy of the data and for information on how it is processed, with a reply within one month at most from receiving the request. Any clear request counts, and many organisations have an online form or a data protection email address; this letter keeps a record of what you asked and when.
- Claim to the motor liability insurer (Moldova)The claim of a person who suffered damage in a road accident in Moldova, to the at-fault driver's compulsory motor (RCA) insurer or, in direct settlement, to their own. It asks for the claim file to be opened, the list of documents in writing, the damage to be inspected within 5 working days and a decision with payment within 30 days of the claim when the claim file is complete (art. 20 of Law no. 106/2022), in the way of payment chosen. It is handed in for registration or sent by registered post with acknowledgement of receipt, alongside the insurer's uniform form.
- Freedom of information request (Moldova)The request by which anyone asks a public authority or institution in Moldova for information of public interest: documents, data, contracts, spending. Under Law no. 148/2023 no reason need be given, and the answer is due within 10 days of registration, extendable by at most 7 days with written notice (art. 19). It can be e-mailed without an electronic signature, posted, or handed in at the registry.
- Childcare or paternity leave request (Moldova)The request by which an employee in Moldova asks the employer for paternity leave — up to 15 calendar days for each child, within 12 months of the birth (art. 124¹ of the Moldovan Labour Code, as amended by Law no. 156/2025) — or for partially paid childcare leave until the child turns three, which a parent, a grandparent, another relative caring for the child or the guardian may take (art. 124). A copy of the birth certificate goes with it; it is handed to the employer for registration.
- Unpaid leave request (Moldova)The request by which an employee in Moldova asks the employer for leave without pay, for the dates and the reason given. The Moldovan Labour Code allows unpaid leave of up to 120 calendar days, for family or other good reasons, on the employee's written request and with the employer's consent (art. 120). It is handed to the employer for registration, and the leave is granted by order.
- Request for a copy of medical records (Moldova)The request by which a patient, their legal representative or their attorney asks a medical institution in Moldova for a copy of the medical file, test results or discharge summary. Law no. 263/2005 gives patients unlimited access to their own medical data and the right to a copy of any part of their file (art. 11). It is handed in at the institution's registry, addressed to its head, with a copy of an identity document; keep the copy with the registration number.
- Annual leave request (Moldova)The request by which an employee in Moldova asks for paid annual leave for the dates chosen, under the leave schedule or outside it with the employer's agreement. Leave is at least 28 calendar days, public holidays not counted (art. 113 of the Moldovan Labour Code); it can be split on written request if one part is at least 14 calendar days, and holiday pay is due at least three calendar days before the leave starts (art. 117). It is handed to the employer for registration.
