- Will (Cyprus)A will under the Cypriot Wills and Succession Law (Cap. 195): an executor and a substitute, specific gifts, the rest of the estate and its shares, revocation of earlier wills or only for property in Cyprus, and a choice of the law of your nationality under EU Regulation 650/2012. It is signed at the end before two witnesses present at the same time, and the testator and both witnesses sign or initial every sheet. Note: where Cypriot law governs the succession — as it does for someone habitually resident in Cyprus who has not chosen another law — anyone who leaves a spouse, children or parents can leave only part of their estate freely.
- Move-in record and inventory (Cyprus)The record a landlord and tenant in Cyprus sign when the home is handed over: the condition of each room, an inventory of furniture and equipment, the electricity and water meter readings, the keys, and the defects already there. Because a deposit in Cyprus is governed by the lease rather than by statute, this record is what decides at the end what is damage and what is ordinary wear. Photographs taken the same day complete it.
- Move-out record and deposit settlement (Cyprus)The record a landlord and tenant in Cyprus sign when the tenancy ends and the home is handed back: the condition of each room, damage beyond ordinary wear, the final meter readings, the keys, and how much of the deposit the landlord keeps, why, and by when the rest is returned. By signing it the landlord limits claims for visible damage to what is listed, which settles the deposit.
- Invoice for goods or services (Cyprus)An invoice for a business or self-employed person in Cyprus, with the particulars VAT law requires: a sequential number and issue date, the date of delivery or supply, the issuer's details with TIC and VAT number, the customer's details, the goods or services with quantity and unit price, the amount before VAT, the VAT rate and amount, the total, the due date and an IBAN. You choose whether VAT is charged, whether the issuer is not VAT-registered (below the €15,600 threshold), whether the reverse charge applies, or whether the supply is exempt.
- Resolution to apply to strike off a dormant company (Cyprus)The resolution by which a dormant Cypriot company asks the Registrar of Companies to strike it off the register under section 327 of the Companies Law, Cap. 113: the company's details, the date since which it has had no activity, a statement that it has no assets or debts and has met its obligations, who files the application, and the signatures. The Registrar publishes the coming strike-off in the Official Gazette, and the company is struck off three months later if no one objects. A company with assets or debts needs a liquidation by a licensed insolvency practitioner instead.
- Record of equipment handed over for repair (Cyprus)The record a customer and a repair shop in Cyprus sign when a phone, a computer, an appliance or a bicycle is left for repair: the equipment and its serial number, the accessories, the fault, its visible condition, the estimated cost and time, the charge if the repair is not done and the warranty on the work. It says that any cost beyond the estimate needs the customer's consent, and has room for collection after the repair.
- Members' written resolution and general meeting minutes (Cyprus)The document by which the members of a Cypriot company pass resolutions, either at a general meeting, when it serves as the minutes, or by written resolution without a meeting, valid once every member entitled to vote has signed, as many articles allow. It covers the company's details with its HE number, the members and their shares, whether the resolutions are ordinary or special, their text, the vote, and authority to file whatever must go to the Registrar of Companies. A special resolution needs a three-quarters majority and 21 days' notice (section 135 of Cap. 113).
- Vehicle handover record for the buyer (Cyprus)The record of exactly when the buyer took the vehicle: date and hour, mileage, fuel, keys, documents, accessories and condition. In Cyprus the transfer at the Road Transport Department, on form TOM 9Γ, can come days after handover, and until then the seller remains the registered owner, to whom camera fines are sent. The record proves who had the vehicle and from when the buyer bears it, and records the buyer's insurance and the deadline for the transfer.
- Spouses' statement of property (Cyprus)A joint statement in which two spouses or civil partners in Cyprus record what belongs to each, when and how it was acquired — before the marriage, by gift, by inheritance — what is shared and who contributed to what. Under Law 232/1991, if the marriage ends, a spouse who contributed to the increase in the other's property can claim a share of it, and the contribution is presumed to be one third unless shown otherwise. A statement signed in calmer times is evidence of exactly that. It waives no rights and transfers no property.
- Receipt for money paid between private individuals (Cyprus)A receipt by which a private individual in Cyprus confirms receiving money from another: the sum in figures and words, what it is for, the date and method of payment, and whether it settles the whole debt or is a payment on account, with the balance left. Useful for repaying a loan, returning a deposit, selling an item or any cash payment, which otherwise leaves no trace. It is signed by the person receiving the money, and since 2026 needs no stamp duty.
- Acknowledgement of debt and repayment undertaking (Cyprus)A written statement by which a debtor in Cyprus acknowledges owing a creditor a set sum, and what for, and undertakes to repay it on a schedule with a final date. The creditor accepts it by signing and takes no legal action while the schedule is kept; if two instalments are missed, the whole balance falls due at once. A contract claim is time-barred after six years, and the debtor's written acknowledgement interrupts limitation, which starts running again. No stamp duty is payable.
- Resolution changing a company's registered office (Cyprus)The resolution by which a Cypriot company moves its registered office to a new address in Cyprus under the Companies Law, Cap. 113: the company's details with its HE registration number, how the decision is taken (by the board or by the members, at a meeting or in writing), the new address, the date it takes effect, who files, and the signatures. It is not the notice to the Registrar of Companies: the change is notified separately on form HE2 within 14 days, and the resolution is kept in the minute book.
- Resolution appointing or removing a director (Cyprus)A Cypriot company's resolution appointing a new director, removing a director or recording a resignation under the Companies Law, Cap. 113: the company's details with its HE number, how the decision is taken, the director's details with identity card, passport or ARC number, the date it takes effect, the appointee's acceptance and who files. Section 178 allows a director to be removed without consent by ordinary resolution at a general meeting, after 28 days' special notice; the articles may provide another route too. The change is notified separately to the Registrar of Companies on form HE4 within 14 days.
