Request for a school certificate or school file (France)

For a parent, or an adult pupil, who needs a certificate of school attendance (for the CAF, an employer, a grant body), a leaving certificate after a move, the transfer of the school file to the new school, or a copy of the school report book. The certificate is often a free download from the school's digital workspace (ENT), and the report book from ÉduConnect: check there first. In French, the letter to the head identifies the pupil, the document wanted and who it is for.

Request for a certificate of studies or a copy of a school-leaving certificate (Greece)

Why it matches: You lost the school-leaving certificate from your school in Greece and need a copy.

The request to a Greek school for a certificate of studies, a certificate of attendance or a copy of the school-leaving certificate (apolytirio): the graduate's details as the school keeps them (father's and mother's names, date of birth, name while at school), the year of graduation, the document wanted, the number of copies and the purpose. Graduates from the 2016–2017 school year on can get their apolytirio from gov.gr; this request serves older titles and certificates that are not there.

Request for a certificate of studies (Cyprus)

Why it matches: A new job asks for proof of your schooling, but your name has changed since you left school.

The written request to a school in Cyprus for a copy of the leaving certificate (apolytirio), a certificate of studies with the marks for each year, or a certificate of attendance: the graduate's details as the school keeps them, the name while at school if it has changed, the year of graduation, the number of copies and the purpose. If the records are now kept elsewhere, it asks for the request to be passed on to whoever keeps them. It serves for a job, a university application or recognition abroad.

Request for a school enrolment or academic certificate (Spain)

Why it matches: You finished secondary school years ago and need a certificate of the studies you completed.

A Spanish written request, in Spanish, for an adult student, or a parent or guardian of a student in Spain, who needs a certificate from the school: of enrolment in the current year, of the marks obtained, or of the studies completed. It is addressed to the school office or the head, states what the certificate is for and how it is to be delivered. In some Spanish regions the enrolment certificate can be downloaded free from the regional education platform. Hand it in at the school office against a stamped copy, or file it through a public registry.

Application for adjustments at school for a pupil's disability or impairment (Germany)

Why it matches: Your child has dyslexia and cannot finish tests at school in Germany in the time given.

The application to a school's head in Germany for adjustments (Nachteilsausgleich) for a pupil with a disability, a chronic illness or an impairment such as dyslexia: adapted conditions for tests and exams — more time, breaks, a separate room or aids — without lowering the standard expected. It describes how the impairment affects the pupil's work, the adjustments requested and the period, and encloses a medical or specialist report. Each Land makes its own rules; you choose the Land on the form. Apply in good time before the exams. In German, ready to print, sign and hand in.

Parent's request to excuse a pupil's absences (Romania)

The request in which a parent in Romania asks for a child's absences for family reasons to be excused: the period, the number of hours and the reason. The framework regulation for pre-university schools (ROFUIP) allows absences to be excused on a parent's written request approved by the head, for no more than 40 hours a school year and no more than a fifth of one subject's hours, and the request says so. It ends with a space for the head's approval.
