- Fixed-term residential lease (Cyprus)A Cypriot lease of a home between private individuals for a fixed term: the property, the rent and how it is adjusted, the deposit, bills, each side's duties and the move-in and move-out records. It gives the tenant a break clause after a minimum period, which the law otherwise does not, sets out the 21-day written notice for unpaid rent, and records whether the home falls under the Rent Control Law of 1983, which makes a tenant who stays on after the term a statutory tenant. Since 1 January 2026 a lease no longer needs stamping.
- Used vehicle sale agreement (Cyprus)A private agreement for the sale of a used car or motorcycle between individuals in Cyprus: the vehicle, the price and payment, handover, condition and known defects. The agreement does not change the registered owner — that is done with form TOM 9Γ at the Road Transport Department or a citizen service centre (KEP), with insurance in the buyer's name. So it binds both to complete the transfer by a set date, records the vehicle's status as to manufacturer recalls, which the Department has checked since February 2025, and puts fines on the buyer from handover.
- Remote work agreement (Cyprus)A written agreement between an employer and an employee in Cyprus for telework under the Telework Framework Law of 2023: pattern and days, place, hours and time recording, the right to disconnect and the measures that secure it, equipment, costs, data, health and safety, and the return to the office. Telework is voluntary and agreed in writing, and the employer bears the equipment and its costs. The agreement also serves as the written statement of telework terms the Law requires.
- Loan agreement between private individuals (Cyprus)A written agreement for a loan of money between private individuals in Cyprus — relatives, friends, acquaintances: both parties with their identity card or ARC numbers, the sum in figures and words, how and when it is paid out, the repayment schedule, the interest or an agreement that the loan is interest-free, and what happens on late payment. You set the rate, within the limit of article 314A of the Criminal Code. Signed, and with the bank's record of the transfer, it proves the claim in the District Court. Since 2026 it needs no stamp duty.
- Open-ended residential lease (Cyprus)A Cypriot lease of a home with no end date, running from month to month: the property, the rent and its adjustment, the deposit, bills, duties and the move-in and move-out records. Either side ends it by written notice, with the period you set, at the end of a calendar month. It records whether the home falls under the Rent Control Law of 1983, because then a tenant who stays after the tenancy ends becomes a statutory tenant and the landlord recovers possession only by court order.
- Business-to-business services agreement (Cyprus)An agreement between two businesses in Cyprus for the supply of services under the Contract Law, Cap. 149: the services and what is excluded, term, fee plus VAT, invoicing and payment terms, complaints and corrections, independent performance, confidentiality, intellectual property in the deliverables, a liability cap and termination. Late payment carries the interest (ECB reference rate plus eight points) and the €40 of Law 123(I)/2012. It has no non-compete, which section 27 of Cap. 149 makes void, with narrow exceptions, and it needs no stamp duty.
- Cohabitation agreement for unmarried partners (Cyprus)A private agreement between two partners living together in Cyprus without marriage or a civil partnership: the shared home and who has a right to it, how expenses are split, what belongs to each and what is shared, and how they settle up if they separate. The law does not regulate informal cohabitation, so the agreement records what would otherwise have to be proved. It is not a civil partnership: that is entered into under Law 184(I)/2015, by any couple, and has the effects of marriage except adoption.
- Room rental and house-sharing agreement (Cyprus)For renting a single room in a home in Cyprus where the owner also lives or other rooms are let. It describes the room and the shared areas, sets how the electricity, water and internet bills are split and the house rules, ties the deposit to the move-in and move-out records, and gives the tenant an early-termination clause on written notice. The rent is paid by bank transfer, and since 2026 the agreement needs no stamp duty.
- Mutual confidentiality agreement between businesses (Cyprus)The agreement by which two businesses in Cyprus, before a possible collaboration, undertake to keep confidential the information they exchange: the purpose, what is and is not confidential, use only for the purpose, who may see it, how long it lasts, return or destruction, and what happens on breach, including damages and an injunction. Law 164(I)/2020 protects as a trade secret only information whose holder has taken reasonable steps to keep it secret, and this agreement is one of them. It contains no non-compete (section 27 of Cap. 149).
- Settlement agreement (Cyprus)An agreement by which two people in Cyprus finally settle a dispute or claim, without going to court or by ending a pending action: it describes the dispute, what each side accepts, who pays whom, how much and on what schedule, and what happens if a payment is late. Once the terms are met each side releases the other from the dispute, with no admission of liability, and the terms stay confidential. It is governed by the Contract Law, Cap. 149, and since 2026 needs no stamp duty.
- Employee confidentiality agreement (Cyprus)The agreement by which an employee in Cyprus undertakes to keep the employer's information confidential, during and after the employment, and not to approach, for a limited time, the clients and colleagues they worked with. It contains no non-compete clause: under section 27 of the Contract Law, Cap. 149, an agreement that stops someone practising a lawful profession is void, and only narrow, reasonable restrictions can stand. It expressly excludes the employee's general knowledge and reports of wrongdoing.
- Mutual agreement to end employment (Cyprus)The agreement by which an employer and an employee in Cyprus end the employment contract together, without a dismissal or a resignation. It sets the last working day, the pay and annual leave still owed, any agreed lump sum and when it is paid, the return of equipment, a certificate of employment and continuing confidentiality, with a settlement clause that leaves untouched any rights the law does not allow to be waived. It rests on the Contract Law, Cap. 149, which requires free consent.
- Fixed-term employment contract (Cyprus)A written employment contract with an end date for an employee in Cyprus: job, place and hours, gross salary, social insurance, annual leave, probation in proportion to the term, and the reason for the fixed term. It sets whether the contract can be ended early on notice or only by agreement, and follows Law 98(I)/2003: a fixed-term employee may not be treated less favourably than permanent staff, and employment that reaches 30 months in total on successive contracts counts as open-ended unless there is an objective reason.
- Independent contractor agreement (Cyprus)A Cypriot business's agreement with a self-employed person who provides services as an independent contractor: the services, independence over when, where and how the work is done, tax and Social Insurance as the contractor's responsibility, fee and invoicing, expenses, confidentiality, intellectual property and termination. The label alone is not enough: if in practice the contractor works like an employee, the relationship may be treated as employment, so the agreement sets out how the work is actually done. It has no non-compete (section 27 of Cap. 149).
- Unpaid leave agreement (Cyprus)A written agreement between an employer and an employee in Cyprus for leave without pay: how long it lasts, the return date, what happens to the employment contract, social insurance and length of service, and which benefits continue. Unpaid leave is granted by agreement between the two, which is why its terms are best written down before it starts. The employment contract is suspended, not ended, and the employee returns to the job on the date set.
- Open-ended employment contract (Cyprus)A written employment contract with no end date for an employee in Cyprus: job and duties, place and hours of work, gross salary in words, payment into a bank account, social insurance, 20 or 24 days' annual leave, probation and termination under the Termination of Employment Law. It gives in writing the terms Law 25(I)/2023 requires the employer to hand over, the core ones within seven days of the start, and protects confidential information without a non-compete clause, which Cypriot law would treat as void.
