Send it by registered post, by PEC or hand it in at the branch.
- Report of lost documents to the police (Italy)An Italian written report, in Italian, of lost documents – identity card, driving licence, passport, cards, payment cards – to hand in at a Carabinieri station or a police office, which gives a copy for applying for duplicates. It lists the documents, where and when the loss was noticed and the circumstances. Since 15 June 2026 a loss can also be reported free online, on the State Police’s Denunce online portal or in the IO app. It is not for a theft, which is reported in person.

- Notice of revocation of a power of attorney to a bank, the post office or others (Italy)For anyone who has revoked a power of attorney and must warn the bank, Poste Italiane, the condominium, an office or anyone else the agent dealt with. Until third parties know of the revocation, the agent’s acts can still bind you towards those acting in good faith (article 1396 of the Italian Civil Code). The letter identifies the agent and the power, asks the recipient to stop accepting the agent’s requests and to confirm receipt. Send it by PEC or recorded delivery, one per third party. Many banks also have their own form.
- Notice to the landlord of a partial sublet (Italy)For a tenant in Italy who wants to sublet a room in the home they live in: the notice to the landlord required by art. 2 of Italian Law no. 392 of 27 July 1978, naming the subtenant, the length of the sublet and the rooms sublet. Unless the lease forbids it, a partial sublet needs no consent from the landlord, only this notice by registered letter; subletting the whole home or assigning the lease does need the landlord's consent. In Italian.
- Payment reminder for an overdue invoice (Italy)For a business or professional wanting to remind a client of an overdue invoice before a formal demand: a polite letter in Italian with the invoice number, date and amount, the due date, a request to pay within a few days with the IBAN, and a reminder that between businesses late-payment interest runs anyway from the day after the due date (Legislative Decree 231/2002). If payment is already on its way, it asks the client to disregard it. Sent by e-mail or PEC; if it fails, a formal demand follows.

It has no tax value and is not an invoice: anyone with a VAT number issues the electronic invoice through the Exchange System (SdI) on payment; anyone without one gives an occasional-work receipt. Sent by e-mail, PEC or registered post.

Send this Italian letter by PEC to the company’s certified address or by registered post with proof of receipt.
- Formal demand and notice of default for unpaid invoices (Italy)For a business or professional not paid by a business client in Italy: a letter in Italian listing the unpaid invoices, recalling the late-payment interest and the €40 owed under Legislative Decree 231/2002 without any request, setting a deadline to pay, and acting, as chosen, either as a formal notice under art. 1454 of the Italian Civil Code (at least 15 days, after which the contract is terminated by law) or as a notice of default that interrupts limitation. The model form the seller must give you and, for contracts concluded from 19 June 2026, the «Recedere dal contratto qui» button on shopping websites are free and enough on their own. The notice period is the one the policy sets and counts from receipt of the letter. Motor liability insurance, by contrast, needs no notice: it never renews tacitly. Many insurers also accept cancellation free of charge from the customer area or through the agent. Send this Italian letter by PEC to the insurer’s certified address or by registered post with proof of receipt.

After a termination by agreement, NASpI unemployment benefit is due only in special cases. Sent by registered post, PEC or by hand. In Italian.
