- Parent's consent for a minor to travel abroad (Cyprus)The written consent of the parent who is not travelling, for their minor child to travel abroad from Cyprus with the other parent or another adult. In Cyprus it is needed even if the parents live together, and a child travelling with neither parent needs both parents' consent. It has the parent's, child's and companion's details, destinations and dates, the full text in Greek and in English, and is signed with the signature certified by a certifying officer or at a Citizen Service Centre (KEP). It is DocMuse's own text; the Government also has a form of its own.
- Fixed-term residential lease (Cyprus)A Cypriot lease of a home between private individuals for a fixed term: the property, the rent and how it is adjusted, the deposit, bills, each side's duties and the move-in and move-out records. It gives the tenant a break clause after a minimum period, which the law otherwise does not, sets out the 21-day written notice for unpaid rent, and records whether the home falls under the Rent Control Law of 1983, which makes a tenant who stays on after the term a statutory tenant. Since 1 January 2026 a lease no longer needs stamping.
- Used vehicle sale agreement (Cyprus)A private agreement for the sale of a used car or motorcycle between individuals in Cyprus: the vehicle, the price and payment, handover, condition and known defects. The agreement does not change the registered owner — that is done with form TOM 9Γ at the Road Transport Department or a citizen service centre (KEP), with insurance in the buyer's name. So it binds both to complete the transfer by a set date, records the vehicle's status as to manufacturer recalls, which the Department has checked since February 2025, and puts fines on the buyer from handover.
- General power of attorney (Cyprus)The power of attorney by which you appoint someone you trust to act for you in Cyprus in a range of matters: at government departments, Citizen Service Centres and local authorities, the Tax Department and Social Insurance, banks and utilities. It sets the powers, what is left out — such as selling property — whether the attorney may appoint a substitute, and how long it lasts, and is signed before a certifying officer or at a Citizen Service Centre (KEP), which certifies the signature. For use abroad it also needs an apostille. Cyprus has no lasting power of attorney that survives the principal's loss of capacity.
- Will (Cyprus)A will under the Cypriot Wills and Succession Law (Cap. 195): an executor and a substitute, specific gifts, the rest of the estate and its shares, revocation of earlier wills or only for property in Cyprus, and a choice of the law of your nationality under EU Regulation 650/2012. It is signed at the end before two witnesses present at the same time, and the testator and both witnesses sign or initial every sheet. Note: where Cypriot law governs the succession — as it does for someone habitually resident in Cyprus who has not chosen another law — anyone who leaves a spouse, children or parents can leave only part of their estate freely.
- Remote work agreement (Cyprus)A written agreement between an employer and an employee in Cyprus for telework under the Telework Framework Law of 2023: pattern and days, place, hours and time recording, the right to disconnect and the measures that secure it, equipment, costs, data, health and safety, and the return to the office. Telework is voluntary and agreed in writing, and the employer bears the equipment and its costs. The agreement also serves as the written statement of telework terms the Law requires.
- Annual leave request (Cyprus)An employee's written request to the employer in Cyprus for paid annual leave: dates, working days, the leave year and who covers, with room for the employer's approval on the same sheet. Under the Annual Leave with Pay Law of 1967, a full year's work earns at least 20 working days on a five-day week and 24 on a six-day week; a contract may give more. A written request leaves a record of what was asked for and what was approved.
- Invitation letter for a visa (Cyprus)The letter in which a resident of Cyprus invites a relative or friend from a country that needs a visa, addressed to the Cypriot embassy or consulate: the host's and the guest's details, the purpose and dates of the visit, where the guest will stay and the costs the host takes on. It does not replace the official assumption of responsibility for hosting form, signed with a certified signature and backed by a bank guarantee; the letter mentions that form and states that it will be submitted if asked for.
- Notice to the employer of sick leave (Cyprus)The written notice in which an employee in Cyprus tells the employer they are off sick: from when, until when the absence is expected to last, which doctor is issuing the medical certificate and whether it is enclosed or will follow. It promises no pay for the first three days, for which no sickness benefit is paid, and asks for it only if the employment contract or a collective agreement provides for it. From the fourth day, sickness benefit is paid by Social Insurance.
- Parental leave request to the employer (Cyprus)A working parent's written request to the employer in Cyprus for parental leave under Law 216(I)/2022: the child, the dates, the length and the leave already taken, with room for the employer's reply. After six months' service the Law gives up to 18 weeks for each child until the child turns 15 (21 with a disability), from one day to five weeks a year (seven with three or more children), on a request made at least three weeks before the start. Social Insurance Services pay a benefit for part of the leave, eight weeks for the first child and more for later children, on the parent's own separate claim.
- Tenant's notice of defects in a rented home (Cyprus)A Cypriot tenant's written notice asking the landlord to repair defects in the home, such as damp, leaks, electrical faults or a broken air conditioner. It describes the defects and when they were found, sets a deadline and gives a phone number to arrange the work, states that the rent will continue to be paid, and reserves a claim for damages if the repair is not made. It is sent by registered post, with photographs.
- Move-in record and inventory (Cyprus)The record a landlord and tenant in Cyprus sign when the home is handed over: the condition of each room, an inventory of furniture and equipment, the electricity and water meter readings, the keys, and the defects already there. Because a deposit in Cyprus is governed by the lease rather than by statute, this record is what decides at the end what is damage and what is ordinary wear. Photographs taken the same day complete it.
- Loan agreement between private individuals (Cyprus)A written agreement for a loan of money between private individuals in Cyprus — relatives, friends, acquaintances: both parties with their identity card or ARC numbers, the sum in figures and words, how and when it is paid out, the repayment schedule, the interest or an agreement that the loan is interest-free, and what happens on late payment. You set the rate, within the limit of article 314A of the Criminal Code. Signed, and with the bank's record of the transfer, it proves the claim in the District Court. Since 2026 it needs no stamp duty.
- Request for a certificate of employment (Cyprus)A written request by an employee or former employee in Cyprus asking the employer for a certificate of employment: the job and the period worked, and, if wanted, the pay or an assessment of the work. It serves a new employer, a bank, a landlord, a residence permit or studies. A written request, with a date for the reply, leaves proof of what was asked for and when.
- Move-out record and deposit settlement (Cyprus)The record a landlord and tenant in Cyprus sign when the tenancy ends and the home is handed back: the condition of each room, damage beyond ordinary wear, the final meter readings, the keys, and how much of the deposit the landlord keeps, why, and by when the rest is returned. By signing it the landlord limits claims for visible damage to what is listed, which settles the deposit.
- Open-ended residential lease (Cyprus)A Cypriot lease of a home with no end date, running from month to month: the property, the rent and its adjustment, the deposit, bills, duties and the move-in and move-out records. Either side ends it by written notice, with the period you set, at the end of a calendar month. It records whether the home falls under the Rent Control Law of 1983, because then a tenant who stays after the tenancy ends becomes a statutory tenant and the landlord recovers possession only by court order.
- Invoice for goods or services (Cyprus)An invoice for a business or self-employed person in Cyprus, with the particulars VAT law requires: a sequential number and issue date, the date of delivery or supply, the issuer's details with TIC and VAT number, the customer's details, the goods or services with quantity and unit price, the amount before VAT, the VAT rate and amount, the total, the due date and an IBAN. You choose whether VAT is charged, whether the issuer is not VAT-registered (below the €15,600 threshold), whether the reverse charge applies, or whether the supply is exempt.
- Request for access to public-sector information (Cyprus)The request by which anyone asks a Cypriot ministry, department or other public authority for information and documents it holds, under Law 184(I)/2017 on the right of access to public-sector information. It describes what is asked for and how, with no reasons, which the Law does not require, and asks for a written answer within the Law's period, notice of any fee before access is given, partial access where part of the information is exempt, and the reasons for any refusal, which open the way to a complaint to the Information Commissioner.
- Flight delay or cancellation compensation demand (Cyprus)A passenger's written demand to an airline for the compensation of Regulation (EC) 261/2004, €250, €400 or €600 depending on distance, when a flight from Cyprus, or to Cyprus with a European airline, arrived three hours or more late, was cancelled without timely notice, or the passenger was denied boarding. It also claims meals, hotel or transport costs, asks for cash rather than vouchers, and warns of a complaint to the Department of Civil Aviation.
- Complaint to the Consumer Protection Service (Cyprus)A consumer's written complaint to the Consumer Protection Service of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry about a business that breached their rights: a misleading practice, an unfair term, a refusal to refund or repair. It sets out in order the business, the purchase, the problem, what was done to resolve it and what is asked, and lists the attachments. It goes with the Service's complaint form, online or on paper.
- Business-to-business services agreement (Cyprus)An agreement between two businesses in Cyprus for the supply of services under the Contract Law, Cap. 149: the services and what is excluded, term, fee plus VAT, invoicing and payment terms, complaints and corrections, independent performance, confidentiality, intellectual property in the deliverables, a liability cap and termination. Late payment carries the interest (ECB reference rate plus eight points) and the €40 of Law 123(I)/2012. It has no non-compete, which section 27 of Cap. 149 makes void, with narrow exceptions, and it needs no stamp duty.
- Notice of withdrawal from an online or distance purchase (Cyprus)A consumer's notice in Cyprus withdrawing from a purchase made online, by phone or away from the trader's premises, within 14 days and without giving a reason, under the Consumer Protection Law of 2021. It identifies the order, asks for every payment back, standard delivery included, within 14 days, gives an IBAN and announces the return of the goods. Since 19 June 2026 online shops must also offer a withdrawal button; this letter works alongside it and leaves a written record.
- Resolution to apply to strike off a dormant company (Cyprus)The resolution by which a dormant Cypriot company asks the Registrar of Companies to strike it off the register under section 327 of the Companies Law, Cap. 113: the company's details, the date since which it has had no activity, a statement that it has no assets or debts and has met its obligations, who files the application, and the signatures. The Registrar publishes the coming strike-off in the Official Gazette, and the company is struck off three months later if no one objects. A company with assets or debts needs a liquidation by a licensed insolvency practitioner instead.
- Cohabitation agreement for unmarried partners (Cyprus)A private agreement between two partners living together in Cyprus without marriage or a civil partnership: the shared home and who has a right to it, how expenses are split, what belongs to each and what is shared, and how they settle up if they separate. The law does not regulate informal cohabitation, so the agreement records what would otherwise have to be proved. It is not a civil partnership: that is entered into under Law 184(I)/2015, by any couple, and has the effects of marriage except adoption.
