Where does a complaint about an energy bill in Romania go first?

To the supplier, in writing, with the customer code, the supply point and the meter's actual reading. The supplier must answer within the time set by ANRE's performance standard; if it does not, or the answer does not solve the problem, the consumer can turn to ANRE.

What happens to a bill based on a wrong estimate?

If the actual reading is lower than the estimate, the supplier adjusts the consumption on the next bill or by a correcting bill. That is why the complaint gives the actual reading and the date it was taken — best with a photograph of the meter.

Where can the complaint go next if the supplier does not resolve it?
