Power of attorney for a specific act (France)
Why it matches: You are selling your car while away, so someone else has to hand it over and sign for you.
France · in French
For asking someone to do one specific thing in your place when you cannot be there: collect a document, sign a lease or a contract, sell or buy a vehicle, represent you at an appointment. You describe the act, and the power covers that act only, until the date you choose (articles 1987 and 1989 of the French Civil Code). A voting proxy is made free on maprocuration.gouv.fr, and, for an act before a notary, the notary provides the power of attorney required. Signed by the principal, with a copy of their ID.
Special or limited power of attorney for one transaction (Austria)
Why it matches: You need a family member to collect a document or register your car in your place.
Austria · in German
A power of attorney for one transaction or one kind of business in Austria: a visit to an authority, collecting a document, registering a car, handing over a flat, a single sale. Under § 1008 of the Austrian Civil Code (ABGB) it must name the business precisely — for a gift or accepting an inheritance, the single transaction. Before authorities it proves the agent’s authority in writing (§ 10 AVG, § 83 BAO). With an expiry date, restrictions and room for certification if it is used in the land register. In German, ready to print and sign.
Authorisation to drive someone else's vehicle (Poland)
Why it matches: You want an authorisation for another driver that says plainly they may not sell the car.
Poland · in Polish
A car owner's authorisation for another person to drive it for a set time and in a set territory — for a trip abroad, or when lending the car to family or an employee. It gives both people's details, the vehicle, the OC policy, what is authorised, and states plainly that selling or passing the car on is not. There is room below the signature for notarisation, which some non-EU countries require.
Authorisation to drive the owner's vehicle (Greece)
Why it matches: You want to bar the driver from selling or hiring out your car and settle who pays any fines.
Greece · in Greek
A document by which a car's owner in Greece lets someone else drive it for a set period and in set countries — a trip abroad, a family member, a colleague. It states what the driver may do, what not (sell, hire out, hand the car to anyone else), and who bears fines, with a summary in English. The gov.gr e-authorisation is free: paste this text into its free-text box, or sign the PDF and have the signature certified on docs.gov.gr or at a citizens' service centre (KEP). For travel abroad, check what the destination country requires.
Special power of attorney for a specific act (pełnomocnictwo szczególne) (Poland)
Why it matches: You cannot be there in person and want someone in Poland to sell your car for you.
Poland · in Polish
A Polish power of attorney for an act beyond ordinary management — selling a car, signing a particular contract, collecting money, handling a specific matter — setting out the act, its limits, how long it lasts, and whether the agent may appoint a substitute or contract with themselves. Where the act needs a special form, the power of attorney needs the same one — selling real estate requires a notarial deed, as the document warns.
Special power of attorney for a single act (Italy)
Italy · in Italian
For anyone who cannot attend and asks a trusted person to carry out one act in their name: signing a contract, collecting a sum, representing them at a condominium meeting or before an office. The Italian power describes the act, its limits and its end date. If the act needs a special form – selling a house or a car, an act to be registered – a notarial power or a notarised signature is required. For a simple errand a delegation (delega) is enough.
General power of attorney (pełnomocnictwo ogólne) (Poland)
Poland · in Polish
A Polish power of attorney for acts of ordinary management — running the principal's day-to-day affairs and property: paying bills, collecting post, managing a let flat, dealing with offices. It must be in writing on pain of nullity (art. 99 § 2 of the Civil Code). The document also states what it does not cover — selling property, loans, gifts — since those need a power of attorney naming the type of act or the act itself.
Power of attorney for vehicle registration matters (Germany)
Why it matches: You have bought a car in Germany and someone else will register it for you at the registration office.
Germany · in German
A power of attorney for the vehicle registration office in Germany (Zulassungsstelle): it lets someone else register a car for you, re-register it after a change of keeper, deregister it or change your address in the papers. It names the principal and the representative with dates of birth and addresses, the vehicle with its VIN and plate, the eVB insurance number and the matter, and is limited to that matter. Many registration offices offer their own form free; check your office's document list. In German, to print and sign by hand.
Power of attorney to deregister or register a motor vehicle (Austria)
Why it matches: You sold your car in Austria and want the buyer to deregister it for you.
Austria · in German
The written power of attorney that lets another person — the buyer of your car, for instance — act for you at an Austrian registration office run by a motor insurer: to deregister the car and hand back the Zulassungsschein and plates, with or without reserving the number, to register it in your name, or to deposit papers and plates under § 52 of the Austrian Motor Vehicles Act (KFG). With both people's details, the vehicle's chassis number and plate, and a period of validity. The same in every Land. Deregistration itself is free. In German, ready to print and sign by hand.
Owner's authorisation to drive a vehicle (Cyprus)
Why it matches: You are lending your car in Cyprus to a friend or relative and want to give your permission in writing.
Cyprus · in Greek
Insurance first: in Cyprus the policy must cover the driver, by name or under its age and experience terms, or whoever drives is uninsured, whatever authorisation they hold. On that basis, this document lets another person drive the vehicle for a set period, area and purpose, and proves the owner's consent to the police, a hire firm or a border post. It states what is forbidden, who pays fines and damage and how it is revoked, and has a summary in English.
Authorisation to drive and use a vehicle (Romania)
Why it matches: You want to let a family member or friend drive your car in Romania for a while.
Romania · in Romanian
The authorisation by which a vehicle's owner in Romania lets someone else drive and use it for a set period and area — a trip abroad, a family member, an employee. It says what the authorised driver may do, what they may not — sell or hire out the vehicle — and who answers for fines. For leaving the country it is often required with a notarised signature.
Power of attorney for a single matter (Germany)
Why it matches: Someone else needs to register or deregister your car on your behalf.
Germany · in German
A power of attorney for one matter in Germany — collecting a document, registering or deregistering a car, handing over a flat, attending an appointment at an office. With the principal and the agent, the matter described precisely, any limits, an expiry date, the return of the document and a specimen of the agent's signature. Under the German Civil Code (BGB) a power of attorney needs no particular form, but the land registry, the commercial register or disclaiming an inheritance require a publicly certified signature. In German; fill in, print, sign by hand and hand over the original.
General power of attorney (Cyprus)
Cyprus · in Greek
The power of attorney by which you appoint someone you trust to act for you in Cyprus in a range of matters: at government departments, Citizen Service Centres and local authorities, the Tax Department and Social Insurance, banks and utilities. It sets the powers, what is left out — such as selling property — whether the attorney may appoint a substitute, and how long it lasts, and is signed before a certifying officer or at a Citizen Service Centre (KEP), which certifies the signature. For use abroad it also needs an apostille. Cyprus has no lasting power of attorney that survives the principal's loss of capacity.
Special power of attorney (Romania)
Romania · in Romanian
The power of attorney for one specific act in Romania: collecting a document, representing someone at an office, signing a contract, receiving a payment. It describes the act exactly, the limits of the authority, whether the agent may deal with themselves or appoint a substitute, and until when it is valid. For acts that need notarial form — selling a home, for example — the power of attorney must be notarial too.
Private mandate (simple power of attorney) for everyday errands (Spain)
Spain · in Spanish
A general power of attorney for a bank or the Land Registry is granted before a notary in Spain (article 1280.5 of the Spanish Civil Code), and DocMuse does not sell one. This private mandate is for someone who asks a relative or trusted person to run everyday errands with individuals, companies and offices that accept it: collecting documents, raising utility complaints, dealing with the building administrator. It lists the errands, sets how long it lasts and excludes selling or charging property. Both sign it with a copy of their ID. In Spanish.
General power of attorney as a private writing (Italy)
Italy · in Italian
For anyone who wants a trusted person to handle their everyday affairs: paying bills and taxes, collecting money, picking up documents, dealing with the building’s condominium and with offices. Under Italian law a private power covers only ordinary administration and the acts expressly listed; selling or buying property, a gift or any act to be registered needs a notarial power. Banks and Poste Italiane may ask for their own forms. Signed by the principal and accepted by the agent.
General power of attorney for one's affairs (France)
France · in French
For handing the day-to-day running of your affairs to someone close during an absence, a hospital stay or a stay abroad: paying bills, collecting income, dealing with public offices. Written in general terms, it covers acts of administration only (article 1988 of the French Civil Code); selling or giving away property needs an express power. To arrange your own protection in advance should your faculties decline, the mandat de protection future (Cerfa 13592 or a notarial deed) is the route the law provides. Signed by principal and agent, in two copies.
General power of attorney naming the kinds of business (Austria)
Austria · in German
A general power of attorney for Austria that names what § 1008 of the Austrian Civil Code (ABGB) demands: a general power covers selling and buying, loans, collecting money, lawsuits and settlements only if these kinds of business are expressly named. It lists them, with banking, public authorities and the tax office, lets you add exceptions and further kinds, and says which acts need a separate special power. For the land register: a certified signature and no more than three years old. It is not a lasting power (Vorsorgevollmacht), which is made before a notary, lawyer or adult-protection association. In German.
Special authorisation (power of attorney) for a specific act (Greece)
Greece · in Greek
gov.gr issues authorisations free; this document gives you the wording, to paste there, or to sign as a PDF and have the signature certified free on docs.gov.gr or at a citizen service centre (ΚΕΠ). It is DocMuse's own text, not the Greek state's form. It covers one precisely described act in Greece — collecting a document, filing an application, signing a contract, receiving a payment — and sets the limits of the authority, whether the agent may appoint a substitute or deal with themselves, and until when it is valid. Under the Greek Civil Code an authority takes the form of the act (art. 217): selling real estate, or any act made by notarial deed, needs a notarial power of attorney.
Revocation of a power of attorney with notice to third parties (Germany)
Germany · in German
Revoking a power of attorney in Germany: a letter to the agent asking for the power of attorney document back (§ 175 of the German Civil Code, BGB), which doubles as the notice to the bank, office or other body the power was shown or announced to — each receives a signed copy, because towards them the power stays in force until they are told it has ended (§§ 170–173 BGB). With the court route for declaring an unreturned document void (§ 176 BGB). In German; fill in, print, sign and deliver to each recipient with proof of receipt.
