The PDF you download is in Romanian — that is the language it has to be filed in, so it is not translated. Everything on this page is here to tell you what it says.
The written complaint to a Romanian bank about an account, a card, a transfer or a loan: the product, what happened, with dates and sums, and what is asked for. For payment services the bank answers within 15 business days (Law no. 209/2019); if it does not resolve it, the next step is CSALB, the centre that settles consumers' disputes with banks free of charge.

Common questions
- How quickly must a Romanian bank answer a complaint?
- For complaints about payment services — accounts, cards, transfers — within 15 business days, extendable to 35 business days in exceptional, explained cases (Law no. 209/2019). For loans and other products, the bank's own procedure applies.
- What is CSALB?
- The Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution in Banking — the body that settles consumers' disputes with banks and non-bank lenders free of charge, by conciliation. It is used once a complaint to the bank has not solved the problem.
- What should a complaint to a bank include?
- The product concerned — the account, card or loan — what happened, with dates and sums, what is asked for, and the supporting documents: statements, the contract, earlier correspondence. A precise, dated complaint is the first document CSALB or a court asks for.
