Application to terminate employment within the probationary period

The PDF you download is in Bulgarian — that is the language it has to be filed in, so it is not translated. Everything on this page is here to tell you what it says.
While an agreed probationary period is running, the party in whose favour it was agreed may end the contract with no notice and without giving a reason. The application identifies the contract, the termination date, and that the ground is Art. 71 of the Labour Code. Check your own contract for whose benefit the probationary period was agreed before filing it.

Common questions
- Can I leave at once during the probationary period?
- If the probationary period was agreed in your favour, yes — termination is without notice and without giving a reason. Check your contract for whose benefit it was agreed, because that decides who can use it.
- Do I owe compensation if I leave this way?
- No, where you are terminating on this ground and within the period. That is exactly why the ground is stated expressly in the application — terminating by another route in the same period has different consequences.
- Does the probationary period run while I am on leave or sick?
- Time you have not worked generally does not count towards the probationary period, so it is extended. That means the period may not have expired even though the calendar suggests it has.
- Does it affect unemployment benefit?
- The ground for termination matters both for entitlement and for the amount. Check how your case is treated before filing — once the contract has ended the ground is not changed retrospectively.
