Usually from the next payroll run, if the application goes in before the day it is prepared. So file it as soon as the account is open, not the day before payday.

Do I have to attach a document from the bank?

Many employers want proof that the account is yours, so that a salary is not paid into someone else's account because of a mistyped digit. The application has a field for the attachment — include it even if it was not asked for.

Can my salary go into someone else's account?
