The PDF you download is in Greek — that is the language it has to be filed in, so it is not translated. Everything on this page is here to tell you what it says.

The record that customer and repairer sign in Greece when a phone, a computer, a bicycle or an appliance is left for repair: the item and its serial number, the accessories, the fault reported, its visible condition, the estimated cost and time. A repair is a contract for work under the Greek Civil Code (art. 681): the repairer owes the result, and the record says what that result is and that any work beyond the estimate needs the customer's consent. At the end it has room for collection after the repair.

Common questions

What does a repairer in Greece owe once it takes on a repair?
A repair is a contract for work (Greek Civil Code art. 681): the repairer owes the result — fixing the agreed fault — and the customer the fee. That is why the record sets down exactly the fault reported and what was handed over. While the item is in the shop, the repairer must keep it safe and return it with its accessories.
Can a Greek repair shop charge more than it estimated?
Under this record, not without the customer's consent. It sets down the estimated cost and says any work or part beyond it is done only with prior consent, so an arbitrary extra charge can be disputed. If the repair turns out not to be worth it, the customer is told and takes the item back as it was handed in.
What applies if the device left for repair in Greece has a defect within the seller's liability period?
The consumer can ask the seller for repair or replacement free of charge, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience (Greek Civil Code art. 540, as amended by Law 4967/2022); the law sets no fixed number of days. The duty is the seller's, so it applies when the item is handed to the seller or the repairer the seller names. The record proves the handover date, against which a reasonable time is judged.
