The PDF you download is in Greek — that is the language it has to be filed in, so it is not translated. Everything on this page is here to tell you what it says.

The notice by which a consumer in Greece withdraws from a purchase made online, by phone or away from the shop, doorstep sales included, within 14 calendar days and without giving a reason (Law 2251/1994, art. 3ε). It goes further than the model form in the Act's annex: it identifies the order, asks for every payment back, standard delivery included, within 14 days, gives the IBAN for the refund and announces the return of the goods.

Common questions

How many days does a consumer in Greece have to withdraw from an online purchase?
Fourteen calendar days, with no reason needed (Law 2251/1994, art. 3ε). For goods the period runs from receipt, for services from the conclusion of the contract. The same applies to purchases made away from business premises, such as sales at the door. If the trader did not tell the consumer about the right of withdrawal, the period is extended by up to twelve months.
Is it enough to send a Greek withdrawal notice within the 14 days?
Yes. The deadline is met if the notice is sent before it runs out, even if the trader receives it later. But the consumer bears the burden of proving the withdrawal, so the notice goes by email to the trader's address, by registered post or through the online shop's form, and a copy showing the date it was sent is kept.
Does a withdrawal in Greece need the model form from Law 2251/1994?
No — any clear statement will do; the model in Part B of the Act's annex is optional. This notice says what the model says and also asks expressly for every payment back, standard delivery included, within 14 days, names the account for the refund and announces the return of the goods, so nothing is left open.
Must the withdrawal button of a Greek online shop be used?
Not necessarily. Since 10 July 2026, under Law 5317/2026 (art. 3ζα of Law 2251/1994), a trader concluding contracts through a website or app must offer a clearly visible withdrawal function, so that withdrawing is as easy as buying. The consumer may use it, but may also withdraw with any clear statement, such as this notice. Either way, keep the confirmation or the proof of sending.
