The PDF you download is in Greek — that is the language it has to be filed in, so it is not translated. Everything on this page is here to tell you what it says.

The agreement by which a landlord and tenant in Greece change the rent under an existing residential lease. Greek rent cannot be raised unilaterally: it moves only as the lease's adjustment clause provides or by a new agreement. This one sets the new rent and the date it applies from, confirms that the other terms stand, and obliges the landlord to file an amending declaration with the tax authority (ΑΑΔΕ) by the end of the following month.

Common questions

Is an agreement needed when the rent changes under the Greek lease's own adjustment clause?
Not necessarily. If the lease adjusts the rent by the consumer price index or a fixed percentage, the rent changes under that clause, and the landlord reports the change to the tax authority (ΑΑΔΕ). The agreement is for any other change — an increase beyond the clause, a reduction or a new way of adjusting — because there is no unilateral increase.
Must a rent change under a Greek lease be reported to the tax authority?
Yes. The landlord files an amending lease information declaration in myAADE by the end of the month after the change, and the tenant accepts it. The tax record then shows the new rent, which counts both for the tenant's rent refund and for the landlord's taxable income.
How can the Greek rent agreement be signed when the parties are in different places?
It can be signed digitally and free on docs.gov.gr through the private-agreement certification service (Ψηφιακή Βεβαίωση Ιδιωτικού Συμφωνητικού): the first signer uploads the PDF and names the other by tax number, and the other signs from their own account. The certification has the force of a signature authenticated at a citizen service centre (ΚΕΠ), without being a qualified electronic signature, and it needs Taxisnet credentials and a mobile phone.
