Flight delay or cancellation compensation claim (Romania)

Why it matches: The airline cancelled your flight at short notice and you had to change all your plans.

The claim to an airline for compensation under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 — 250, 400 or 600 euros per passenger, by distance — when a flight arrived at least three hours late or was cancelled without the notice required. Appeal against a fine (Romania)

Why it matches: You want to challenge the fine in court and ask for the report to be cancelled.

The complaint to the local court against the report by which a fine was imposed in Romania — a traffic fine or any other. It is filed within 15 days of receipt (art. 31 of Ordinance no. 2/2001) and asks for the report to be annulled or the fine replaced with a warning. It sets out the grounds of absolute nullity in art. 17 — the officer's details, the offence, the date or the signature missing — the evidence, and a request to be tried in absence.

Request to close a bank account (Romania)

The request by which an account holder in Romania closes a current account and ends the framework agreement with the bank: the account, the closing date, the cards attached, the account to receive the balance, and the cancellation of standing orders and direct debits. The agreement can be ended at any time with at most 30 days' notice, and closing is free at the latest once the account is 6 months old (Law no. 209/2019).

Withdrawal form for an online or distance purchase (Romania)

Why it matches: A salesperson sold you something at your door or on an organised trip and you want to cancel the purchase.

The notice by which a consumer in Romania withdraws from an online, phone or off-premises purchase within 14 days — 30 if the contract was made during an unsolicited visit to the home or on an excursion organised by the trader — without giving a reason (Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014). It identifies the product and the order, asks for every payment — standard delivery included — to be refunded within 14 days to the account given, and announces the return of the goods. It follows the content of the model in the ordinance's annex.

Services agreement (Romania)

Why it matches: You want to agree what is and is not included, how the work is accepted and how either side can end it.

The agreement by which a provider — a company or a registered sole trader — performs services for a client in Romania: what is and is not included, the term, the price and payment term, invoicing through RO e-Factura, acceptance and objections, the liability cap, force majeure and termination. Under the Romanian Civil Code a services contract is an antrepriză (art. 1851), and the agreement fills in what the law leaves to the parties.

Open-ended home lease (rental agreement) (Romania)

Why it matches: Your tenant wants to stay long term and you prefer an agreement either side can end with notice.

A Romanian residential tenancy between private individuals with no end date: rent, deposit, utilities, each side's obligations and a handover record. Either side may end it with at least 60 days' written notice, and the rent changes only by a signed addendum. It provides for registration with ANAF within 30 days (form C168), which makes it an enforcement title for the rent.

Request for child-raising leave (Romania)

Why it matches: The leave after the birth is ending and you want to stay at home longer with your child.

The request to a Romanian employer for child-raising leave until the child turns 2, or 3 for a child with a disability (Emergency Ordinance no. 111/2010), with the employment contract suspended for that time. It also asks for the income certificate needed for the monthly allowance claim, which is filed separately, at the town hall.

Revocation of a power of attorney (Romania)

Why it matches: The task is finished or your plans have changed and the authorisation should no longer be used.

The notice by which the person who gave a power of attorney in Romania revokes it. A principal may revoke a mandate at any time (art. 2031 of the Civil Code), but the revocation binds the agent from receipt, and third parties only once it has been brought to their notice or they knew or could have known of it. That is why the letter asks for the power of attorney back and lists the offices and people who have been told.

Notice to the motor insurer that a vehicle has been sold (Romania)

Why it matches: You have sold your car in Romania and want to tell your motor insurer that the RCA policy should end.

The notice in which a seller tells their motor (RCA) insurer in Romania that the vehicle has been sold. A Romanian RCA policy does not pass to the buyer: the seller's contract ends on notification, and the premium for the remaining period is refunded if no compensation has been paid or is owed under the policy. The letter identifies the policy and the vehicle, gives the date of sale and the new owner, and asks for the refund to the account given.

Agreement ending an employment contract (Romania)

Why it matches: You and your employer in Romania both want to end the employment contract on a date you agree.

The agreement by which a Romanian employer and employee end the employment contract on an agreed date, without notice or a reason (art. 55(b) of the Labour Code). It fixes the last working day, the final pay — including payment for untaken leave — and the return of company property, and leaves room for any extra sum negotiated. It cannot contain the employee waiving statutory rights.

Landlord's notice ending a rental agreement (Romania)

The Civil Code lets a tenant end even a fixed-term agreement with at least 60 days' notice, and a clause setting a shorter period has no effect. The notice gives the end date, proposes a date to hand the home back against a handover record, and asks for the deposit to be returned.

Fixed-term home lease (rental agreement) (Romania)

A Romanian residential tenancy between private individuals for a set period: rent and payment day, deposit, utilities, each side's obligations and a handover record when the home is handed over and returned. Annual leave request (Romania)

It ends with a space for the employer's approval. Annual leave is at least 20 working days, and holiday pay is paid before the leave begins.

Parent's request to excuse a pupil's absences (Romania)

The request in which a parent in Romania asks for a child's absences for family reasons to be excused: the period, the number of hours and the reason. The framework regulation for pre-university schools (ROFUIP) allows absences to be excused on a parent's written request approved by the head, for no more than 40 hours a school year and no more than a fifth of one subject's hours, and the request says so. It ends with a space for the head's approval.

Resolution appointing an SRL's administrator (Romania)
